This can be many parts, so choose carefully<\/p>\n

Verify SCOM ID used in o365 subscription in Azure portal<\/a><\/p>\n

Create a new subscription in SCOM to use the auto credentials option<\/a><\/p>\n

Office 365 SCOM Run As Account<\/a><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Verify O365 Subscription state in SCOM Console<\/h1>\n

In the SCOM console<\/p>\n

Click on Monitoring Tab<\/p>\n

Click on the O365 dashboard<\/p>\n

Look at the health state<\/p>\n

Error showed ‘endpoint not found’<\/span><\/p>\n

Working with Azure Admin, we found the SCOM O365MP application did NOT have a service account assigned.<\/p>\n

Verify SCOM ‘Run as’ account<\/h1>\n

Verify ‘run as’ ID (originally employee ID, not service account )<\/p>\n

Remote Desktop to SCOM MS Server<\/p>\n

Verify if the ‘run as’ ID has a valid password<\/p>\n

Look in the Operations Manager Event Log for Event ID 7000<\/p>\n

Click on Find<\/p>\n

Type in the user’s ID from the ‘run as’ account in SCOM<\/p>\n

If no entries found, then ID is successfully authenticating against the domain<\/p>\n

If errors found, correct ID\/Password in SCOM Console<\/p>\n

Verify SCOM O365 Azure account<\/h1>\n

 <\/p>\n

In the SCOM console<\/p>\n

Click on Administration<\/p>\n

Click on the O365 Wizard<\/p>\n

Highlight the subscription<\/p>\n

Choose Edit Subscription<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Test ID (tested the Service Account)<\/p>\n

With the radio button selected at ‘Use auto-created Azure Service Principal’<\/p>\n

NOTE Name here is for SCOM purposes and does not have to match Azure Portal Application Name<\/p>\n

Click Next<\/p>\n

SCOM UI will prompt for Azure login<\/p>\n

Enter ID and password<\/p>\n

Click Sign in to authenticate<\/p>\n

If error is ‘Authentication Fails’, contact your Azure Administrator for assistance<\/p>\n
