Ever wonder what happened to BlueStripe?<\/p>\n

Anyone else have experience using it with SCOM?<\/p>\n

If you weren’t aware, Microsoft bought Blue Stripe back in 2015 link<\/a><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Looks like BlueStripe FactFinder is now Service Map in Azure<\/p>\n

Documentation here<\/a><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Service Map is very easy to add and get value from right away with OMS<\/p>\n

<\/h2>\n

Download agent<\/h2>\n

You have two choices:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Choose from Docs.Microsoft.com documentation above, or from your OMS environment\"docsagentdownload\"<\/li>\n
  2. From your OMS workspace, add the Service Map solution<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Click on Home icon in top left hand corner<\/p>\n

    \"omshome\"<\/p>\n

    Click on Service Map pane<\/p>\n

    Click on Download Agent link as appropriate for Windows or Linux<\/p>\n

    Save file and install on your server(s)<\/p>\n

    \"oms-initialscreen\"<\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    Windows Server Installation<\/h2>\n

    Execute the MSI file downloaded from OMS (NOTE may prompt with UAC prompt)<\/span><\/p>\n

    Click ‘I Agree’<\/p>\n

    Watch the Install<\/p>\n

    \"servicemapinstalling\"<\/p>\n

    Click Finish<\/p>\n

    \"servicemapinstallcomplete\"<\/p>\n

    Now go back to OMS and look for updates (mine was that fast!)<\/p>\n

    Click on the Service Map pane to see more detail<\/p>\n

    To add additional machines is basically the same, just choose add machines<\/p>\n

    In case you caught that I have two (2) of the same named machines, it’s because I have that server set up for OMS separately.\u00a0 Yes, it’s my lab, so I’m not following the best practice.<\/p>\n
